In 2010, I began at LogMyCalls, a startup, as hire number 3. I spent 7 years with them, growing the company, developing industry-disrupting technology and powerful solutions. Like many people in startups, I wore MANY MANY hats. Some of them simultaneously: Front-end Developer, UI Designer, Web designer, SEO and SEM Manager, UX Designer, Video Editor, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, Senior UX Designer, and eventually Director of UX & Design.

The infographics and banners were so effective online that I was asked to create physical versions of them to take to the various shows and conferences we attended. Everybody loved Bernie, many people would take pictures with him.

I also made videos, using After Effects like THIS and a few more... HERE..... and HERE

My UX and Marketing background was engaged every day. Exploring the analytics of our app and the data surrounding our UVP. Organizing that data, presenting it to the Executives, and even putting it into Digital Infographics. This is one that got lots of traction, generating leads, and brought in several large accounts.

Bernie, our lovable mascot.

Not only was I in completely responsible for the UI and UX of our platforms, I also was the Internet Marketing Manager and graphic designer for all marketing materials/collateral. I made thousands of graphics for white papers, infographics, online banners, website offerings, landing pages, ebooks, and so much more.

Working with LogMyCalls when they were just a startup allowed me to explore a LOT of ideas. Some of them were just for fun, like this cut-out Bernie figure. These type of things were typically done in my spare time, because I enjoyed the company and culture so much.

Through different choices made by the Executive Team, and having grown substantially, we decided to bifurcate the current app and create a new Saas platform, and rebrand the company, called Convirza. To achieve this goal, I was once again requested to head of this effort.

Once again, I was fully responsible for the UI and UX of this new SaaS platform. But this time, the requirement was to build it with Angular. The Director of Engineering had me learn Angular, so that I could then in turn help the developers make the transition quickly. We also moved our version control over to Github and implemented a style of LEAN UX combined with Agile.

With all these big changes, the Marketing Team still needed help with collateral and generating leads. Part of that was explaining how Conversation Analytics works. I created explainer videos and tutorials, using After Effects to help them achieve their goals. You can see the full video HERE. After being promoted to Director of UX and Design, and after looking at the state of the current website. I prototyped a new website for Convirza. After getting by-in from the Executive Team, I build a new Wordpress website. For the next year, I continued to tweak it and improve it, to the point that even now, 4 years later, they are STILL using my design with minimal changes (team member photos, etc.)

Despite leaving many years ago, it still feels good to look at the platform that Convirza is still using, and the designs, standards, and Style Guide I left in place for the Developers has still held true.
